Cutting Edge Dentistry

A dental laser procedure patented by Biolase, The Waterlase uses the interaction of YSGG laser wavelength and proprietary water/air spray that cuts and contours tooth structure, soft tissues and bone without contact, heat or vibration.

Bid Adieu To The Pain

Tooth enamel naturally contains up to five percent of water and up to 25 percent of dentin and bone. The Waterlase symbiotically excites water molecules from both the hand piece spray and inside the target tissue, resulting in effective cutting. Heat and pain are also prevented as the water spray continuously rehydrates the tooth. As such, many dental procedures can be performed without the drill and, in most cases, without the need for anaesthesia. This also means multiple simple dental procedures can be achieved in a single visit.

Maintain Healthy Teeth

Due to its precision in cutting, the Waterlase is minimally invasive and helps conserve healthy tooth structure unlike the drill, which causes vibration, and macro fractures that can permit bacteria to penetrate, leading to potential tooth decay.

Minimal Side Effects

Waterlase is very beneficial for soft tissue procedures and minor surgeries. Due to its bio- stimulatory effects, there is minimal post-operative swelling and pain, and better wound healing. It also seals blood and lymphatic vessels during cutting, which means there’s less need for sutures.
